OUR COACHES

Monday A.M. is the Brain Child of all my professional and educational experiences. It is a reflection of all of the superintendents, principals, campus leaders and managers I have been exposed to over the last 20 years. My experience as an educator is 17 years. However, the corporate or what some call the real world experience has given me the perspective to address each situation appropriately. Monday morning, every school and business should start as normally as possible.
Hence "MONDAY A.M."

Regardless to what you are doing each weekend...
School should start like clockwork every Monday A.M.

It’s imperative that our school climate change for the better and I want to be part of that change. Too often, administrators vocalize that children come first yet they get caught up in politics of satisfying self and others. Many students are graduating from high school and entering college ill-equipped. We need restoration of the learning environment. Students must meet academic, social and behavioral standards and not just for state testing standards. Today’s children should be challenged, motivated and given consistent support to reach their highest potential.

My experiences as an Educator, Educational Diagnostician and Speech Therapist, within the public schools sector has given me a unique understanding of special education law, as well as hands on experiences implementing best practices for students with special needs. My vision is that all students will become productive regardless of their disability.
I graduated from Texas Southern University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Communicative Disorders, and I received a Master’s Degree in Education at the University of Houston- Clear Lake. I continued my studies at the University of Houston-Victoria.
I am currently an active member of the Texas Educational Diagnosticians Association and Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.

An appreciation of cultural diversity and understanding the impact of globalization are paramount to eliminating the achievement gaps amongst twenty-first century students. Having studied and worked in France, Japan and the United Arab Emirates, respectively, I know, firsthand, that it is imperative to push the limits of how we address our students and the education profession, and that students' becoming multilingual and globally indoctrinated are significant to their competitive success.

During 2013-14 School year, Girls and Boys Preparatory Academy moved or changed locations on two separate occasions. With each transition, the staff, students and parents made the adjustments to have the most successful school year in the school's history!

I'm extremely grateful that you kept us afloat this year - especially taking into consideration the hand you were dealt (i.e. expiring lease, India House, & incomplete new school) & the budget issues.
